Casablanca (1942, Dir. Michael Curtiz)
To me, Casablanca is a perfect film. Every shot, every piece of dialogue, every actor, every song works in this film. It’s a mix of romance, suspense, action, and greed that takes you on a ride that’s never boring. Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman are in top form surrounded by an equally impressive cast of Claude Rains, Peter Lorre, and Sidney Greenstreet. If there is a film that you must see before you die, it’s this one.
